Did you know that one in five people in the UK now live below the poverty line? At Taste of Bath, we know how incredibly lucky we are to enjoy foodie treats as a regular little luxury. To make sure we never lose sight of that, and put the work in helping those who are less fortunate, we’re proud to support Bath Foodbank on a regular basis as our official charity partners.

Every now and then, we like to take things up a level with a special campaign – and that’s what we’re doing this month! For every order placed during the month of March, we’ll be donating a box of our scrumptious Salted Caramel Truffles to the Foodbank, which will be available for anyone who needs a little treat, but especially for anyone who would like to be able to give their mum a gift on Mother’s Day.

Why not donate cash, you might ask? Well, we regularly donate a percentage from sales of our gorgeous Taste of Bath tea towel, to help the Foodbank provide their essential services, but from our conversations with the brilliant Foodbank team, we know that they don’t just want to offer survival rations. We’ve often been moved by their stories of how a little extra kindness can make a huge difference to people whose lives are really tough. Being able to treat your mum or carer on Mother’s Day might seem like a simple thing, or even something quite trivial, but in fact little things like this are what make us human and bring us joy.

So, if you’re planning to treat your mum to a Taste of Bath hamper for Mother’s Day (it’s on the 27^th of March, don’t forget!), send someone a birthday gift or a care package just because, or even just treat yourself – every order this month will make a real difference to local people.
