Below is a message from Taste of Bath Managing Director, Helen Rich.

Those of you who have contacted me recently will have received my out of office message explaining that I am currently off on longer term sick leave. In the interests of total transparency and not wanting to worry or concern others, I would like to share a brief update regarding my current situation.

At the end of last year, I was diagnosed with a very rare form of cancer which affects only 120 people in the UK a year (I always knew I was special). I have been very fortunate to have this diagnosis at an early stage, without the cancer spreading to other areas of the body. I am currently undergoing chemotherapy treatment and our specialist medical team in London have been delighted with my progress. This specific cancer has a cure rate of 95%, which is fantastic, my treatment will continue until I am cured.

While this was an unexpected development, I want to assure you that I am fully committed to my recovery and plan to return to work as soon as I’m well enough to be able to do so. The medical care I have received has been incredible and I am so fortunate to have the love and care of the best group of family and friends around me.

During my absence, my business partner and fellow Director, Jo Cox and our dedicated team will continue to work with you, with the same level of commitment and excellence that you have come to expect from us. We are fortunate to have implemented measures to ensure a seamless continuation of our services, and I am confident that you will be in good hands.

I deeply appreciate the trust and confidence you have placed in us, and I want to express my gratitude for your understanding during this time. Your support means a huge amount to us, and I am committed to ensuring that we maintain the high standards that have defined Taste of Bath from the beginning.
