In case you haven’t heard yet (and if you haven’t, where have you been?!), Taste of Bath has huge news – at last week’s 2019 Bath Life Awards Ceremony, we WON the Business Services Award! We’re absolutely bursting with pride to have been recognised by the city’s biggest awards for all our hard work.

Taste of Bath has been on the Bath foodie scene for three years now and it’s been a rollercoaster of a journey. In our first year, we were nominated for the Best Newcomer Award, and in our second year, we were up for the Best Retailer Award. This year we finally took home the prize for our Business Services – but if you’re a regular fan of our hampers for birthdays, anniversaries and weddings, you might never have realised that we have a serious business side too! We supply local, national and international businesses with our gorgeous gift boxes, all filled with the same brilliant local produce, for corporate entertaining and company rewards – we hope you’ll agree, it’s a bit more exciting than the usual branded biros…

The Bath Life judges, who were unanimous in their decision to give the award to Taste of Bath, described the business as “innovative” and “a unique concept” that “enhances Bath as a city and connects a number of businesses through both its support of local producers and its B2B offering.”

Right from the start, Taste of Bath has always been about championing some of the city’s best small businesses and producers, and when it comes to our business services, things are no different – we want to tell the world what makes Bath so special. By supplying gift boxes stuffed with local goodies, we not only promote the producers themselves to some of the biggest names in Bath and across the country, but we also help those big Bath businesses support local AND celebrate their roots. It’s a virtuous circle that benefits Bath and all of our businesses too – and that’s what Bath Life is recognising with this award.

Anyone who’s met our fabulous founder, Helen Rich, will know that like the whole Taste of Bath team, she’s genuinely passionate about promoting Bath’s fantastic food and drink, which is why this award means so much to her and to all of us. Helen brought the house down at the Awards Ceremony with a brilliant speech and, dare we say it, some of the biggest cheers of the night – a lovely testament to the warmth and affection that so many Bath businesses feel for Taste of Bath. Nothing could be a better demonstration of how well we’re managing to achieve our goal of celebrating Bath and bringing the city’s many talented foodies together.
