We’re delighted to announce that our new long-term charity partners will be the wonderful team at Bath Foodbank, and we’re kicking off our partnership with a fabulous joint initiative with lovely local indies Swoon Gelato. For every order over £25 placed during the month of July, we’ll be donating a voucher to the Foodbank, valid for one of Swoon’s incredible ice creams – a little treat to lift the spirits for people struggling through the toughest of times.

We know what you’re thinking – why donate ice cream vouchers, why not just donate cash?

Although many people depend on the foodbank’s emergency food parcels for their survival, the foodbank aims to provide more than just survival rations. When we asked how we could help, the foodbank team told us that they love to be able to provide extra treats when they can – like toys at Christmas, or chocolate at Easter. These little touches can make an enormous difference to people in crisis.

We all know the power of food to make us feel good. Often it’s the quickest pick-me-up we can think of when we’re facing a tough day – put the kettle on and grab a biscuit. At Taste of Bath, we see first-hand how many of our customers choose a care package full of goodies when they want to show someone a little love. We believe everyone deserves to be treated and taken care of in that way.

Naturally, when it comes to summery treats, you don’t get much better than the legendary Swoon Gelato, and we’re delighted to be teaming up with another brilliant local independent business for this initiative. The lovely team at Swoon will be generously donating an extra 50 vouchers (each voucher valid for two of their delicious cones) on top of the vouchers Taste of Bath buys.

To get involved, all you need to do is place an order for £25 or more – whether it’s one of our ready-made hampers or a Create Your Own hamper – and we’ll take care of the rest. It’s the perfect excuse to send a care package to friends and loved ones, organise a gorgeous gift for a birthday or anniversary, or just treat yourself to some Taste of Bath goodies – go on, you deserve it…
