Client Case Study: VIMA Group

Who is the client?

VIMA is an innovative and forward-thinking management consultancy, working primarily in the Defence and Security sectors, delivering complex digital transformation.

What was the brief?

Easter gifts to show some appreciation for hard-working staff! VIMA asked us for 91 hampers delivered direct to homes across the country, full of sweet treats, something to drink and an Easter egg, with different variations to take into account dietary requirements.

How did Taste of Bath help?

We worked with our brilliant producers Coco Chemistry to source the perfect Easter treat – a cookies & cream Easter egg with a properly thick layer of silky white chocolate, speckled with crunchy cookie pieces. We also knew from previous orders how much the VIMA team love our chocolate brownies from the Best Ever Brownie Co, and since we’ve added a new flavour since they last ordered, we just had to include the irresistible Salted Caramel Chocolate Brownies! To complete the hamper, we added Milk Chocolate Nuggets (one of our bestsellers for chocolate goodies) and either a Dark Chocolate & Raspberry slab or a Milk Chocolate Fudge slab, with Piston Broke ale and a 6 O’Clock Gin G&T in a can to sip alongside.

In each hamper, we included a branded Meet the Producers card, with a personal message from VIMA’s management team on one side and the details of the products included on the other.

Why choose Taste of Bath in this case?

A key facet of VIMA’s social value policy is community engagement and supporting the local economy, and more specifically, working with SMEs and procuring goods & services locally wherever possible. With VIMA’s head office based in Bristol, using Taste of Bath is a great example of brand values in action! Central to VIMA’s workplace culture is the idea of ‘putting people first’, and VIMA were keen to make the most of Easter as a great excuse to treat their teams and show them how much they’re valued.

Investing in your staff this way can have an enormous positive impact on morale, productivity, long-term staff retention and more, but it’s crucial to get it right – a gift that feels generic, from a big impersonal brand, can totally undermine the message. Using an independent business like Taste of Bath (and featuring artisan food and drink from small local producers) makes the gift feel much more considered. Our ability to add personal touches, like VIMA’s branding on the message to recipients, backs up the sense that this is a genuine thank you from management, rather than just a box to be ticked.

VIMA’s testimonial

“Taste of Bath is such a remarkable and lovely company to work with, this is my second year ordering some gorgeous hampers for our VIMA Staff and they have never failed to impress. The hampers are beautiful and full of delights! Fabulous company who went above and beyond in delivering our hampers on time. I was always kept informed by the very professional team. Just wanted to say thank you Taste of Bath. Thank you, Helen!”

It’s fair to say the hampers went down extremely well with the staff too – here are just a few of the things they said on social media…
