Taste of Bath at Pub in the Park

What a weekend… this year’s Pub in the Park truly lived up to all our expectations! We have been super excited for the festival’s second year in our city – and we were blown away. All the visitors were treated to incredibly talented chefs and true experts in their field, showcasing and bringing their signature dishes to life in pop-up versions of their pubs and restaurants, Q&As, talks and demonstrations.

We were thrilled to have the privilege of personally presenting each of these world-renowned chefs with a luxurious Taste of Bath hamper, full to the brim with goodies from our brilliant local suppliers. Each hamper included fantastic goodies from our wonderful producers; Bath Gin, Bath Soft Cheese, Bath Water, Electric Bear, Heavenly Hedgerows, Henny and Joes, In a Pickle, Kettlesmiths, Megs Fudge, Seven Hills, Silver Swift, Somerset Charcuterie and Heggs company.

These top chefs will tell you that high quality ingredients are quite simply crucial, and they’re always on the lookout for fresh, original, local goodies – so naturally, they all absolutely loved the Taste of Bath concept! Just like them, we only work with fantastic producers whose products are authentic and not to mention completely delicious.

Speaking of great produce, let’s not forget to mention the show-stopping food available at the festival this year. Each pop-up presented a menu of fantastic dishes for just £5 each, allowing us to try almost everything on offer at the festival – yes, we really did indulge, but as foodies we just couldn’t resist! Many of the pop-ups at Pub in Park represent Michelin-starred pubs and restaurants, so it’s an incredible opportunity to try their food.

Not only did this year’s pub in the park have a top-notch line up of chefs, we were treated to a whole host of musicians too. From the soulful voice of Will Young to the electronic sounds of Basement Jaxx and everything in between – there was really something for everyone. All performances really added to that chilled pub garden feel which makes Pub in the Park such a brilliant and unique festival – and who doesn’t love a pub garden with a live performance from the fantastic Texas? We certainly do!

Having the opportunity once again to work with Tom Kerridge, Pub in the Park, phenomenal chefs and the teams that made it all happen has been an absolute pleasure. We loved bringing a Taste of Bath to this fabulous festival and we’re looking forward to next year already!
