Five Things We Can’t Wait For at Pub in the Park 2019!

Once again, Taste of Bath is delighted to be an official partner for the Pub in the Park festival, which returns to Bath from the 21st-23rd of June 2019! Like everyone who came along last year, we had an absolutely fantastic time enjoying Michelin-starred food & drink and great live music in sunny Victoria Park, and this year’s festival promises to be bigger and better than ever. Get your tickets here – and to get us all in the mood, here’s five highlights from this year’s programme that we just can’t wait for…

Basement Jaxx

Everyone you talk to in Bath is absolutely buzzing about Basement Jaxx, who are headlining Pub in the Park on the opening Friday night. They’ll be bringing us a DJ set full of massive tunes guaranteed to get the crowd on their feet – although we wouldn’t blame you if you also fancied soaking up the vibe from the comfort of one of Pub in the Park’s many fabulous pop-up bars as the sun goes down. Whatever your preference, Friday night’s line-up (which also features Gabrielle and Rob Green) is sure to get the weekend off to an incredible start. Check out the full list of artists performing here.

Local Superstars

As always, this year’s Pub in the Park features an incredible selection of pop-ups from Michelin-starred pubs from across the country – but we’re absolutely delighted to share that on this year’s bill will also be two local favourites, The Marlborough Tavern and The King William. When we got involved with last year’s inaugural Pub in the Park in Bath, it was to help the team bring in a little local flavour, and it’s so exciting to see local talent being celebrated even more this year. You can find menus for all this year’s pop-ups, including our local superstars, here (surely we can’t be the only ones who want to plan what we’re going to eat already?)

Fab Foodies

Throughout the weekend Pub in the Park has created an irresistible menu of chef demos, talks, book signings and Q&A sessions, featuring Michelin-starred chefs like Josh Eggleton and Daniel Clifford, and Bath’s own favourite foodie Ping Coombes. Frankly though, one of the people we’re most excited about meeting is legendary foodie personality Fred Sirieix – originally popping up on our screens in First Dates, he genuinely seems like one of the loveliest chaps in the industry and we can’t wait for his Friday night Q&A. Check out the full line-up of talks here.

Shop Til You Drop

Hands up if you find it impossible to resist buying things for the kitchen… whether you like to seek out scrumptious new ingredients to inspire or you’re a fan of the fanciest gadgets and equipment, the foodie shopping opportunities at Pub in the Park are sure to get you excited. Visit the Artisan Market for all sorts of mouth-watering goodies to take home, or check out the Shopping Village for gorgeous homewares.

VIP Pampering

Haven’t got your tickets yet? Treat yourself to one of Pub in the Park’s incredible VIP packages – you’ll get access to the VIP lounge and bar (where you might just nab a selfie or two with this year’s all-star line-up, particularly if you attend the exclusive chef Q&As in the VIP lounge), fast-track entry and unlimited fizz – what better way to upgrade your weekend? And on that subject, look out for a very special Taste of Bath competition coming soon, where you might just be able to get your hands on a pair of VIP tickets…

Selfie 2019

Taste of Bath will be there for the whole weekend, sharing all of our adventures on our social media channels (including meeting all of this year’s celebrity chefs to present them with a luxury Taste of Bath hamper to show off all our favourite local goodies) so make sure you check out our Instagram, Twitter and Facebook, and do come and say hi if you spot the team!
