Foodies rejoice – we’ve added some fabulous new goodies to our Taste of Bath online shop! We’re constantly on the lookout for delicious food & drink, whether it’s new products from our brilliant existing producers, or a whole new business to add to the Taste of Bath family. And lately, we’ve made some mouth-watering discoveries that are perfect to provide a little comfort food as the weather starts to get chillier. Read on for a taste…
One of our most popular bestsellers is Heavenly Hedgerows’ gorgeous Elderberry and Bramble Jam (check out last week’s blog post for a delicious recipe) so we’re delighted to introduce a second Heavenly Hedgerows product, Foraged Sloe Gin. Not only is it the perfect tipple to warm your cockles on a cold autumn day, but this is the really good stuff – no essences or nasty additives like you might find in some shop-bought sloe gins, just West Country sloes hand picked and steeped for a whole year in small batches to extract a maximum of flavour.
Speaking of autumnal tipples, another lovely local product we’ve added recently is Somerset Charcuterie’s Somerset Cider Chorizo. The sweetness of the cider and a touch of earthy smoked paprika are the ideal flavours to complement the gentle fiery warmth of this delicious chorizo – it’s the perfect snack as it is, or you can add it to a hearty winter stew for a flavour boost.
More of a sweet tooth? Don’t worry, we’ve got a few fabulous new treats for you too. We’re huge fans of Seven Hills for their chocolate bars, but when we heard how popular their new nut butter range was with their Bath Farmers’ Market customers, we knew we had to try that too. It was love at first spoonful and we’ve now added their Hand Roasted Peanut Butter and Hand Roasted Almond Butter to our online shop – both are smooth, rich and creamy, packed with flavour which comes from the long, slow roasting process, the best quality nuts, a pinch of salt and literally nothing else. Perfect on a slice of toast or added to a dessert – check out this incredible recipe on our blog for Peanut Butter Banoffee Cheesecake. Are you a big Seven Hills fan too? Don’t forget, over the summer we also added their incredible Chocolate Enrobed Honeycomb to our online shop – if you haven’t tried it yet you’re missing out.
We’re extremely lucky in Bath to be blessed with several talented chocolatiers, and we’re excited to have a new product from another Taste of Bath bestseller, Choc on Choc, who are now supplying us with mini boxes of their Salted Caramel Dark Chocolate Truffles – they’re even more exquisite than they sound, so if you’re a chocoholic then you’ve just got to try these.
Finally, keen fans of our blog will already have been introduced to the newest member of the Taste of Bath family, Silver Swift, via the guest blog we published a few weeks ago – but if you haven’t discovered these spirited spritzers yet, then you must check them out. The concept is cocktails without the calories, and they feature some gorgeous flavours including Wild Rose Gin and Fresh Venture Vodka with Strawberries. Just the thing if you’re not ready to let go of summer quite yet…
Have any of our new treats got your taste buds tingling? Remember that you can include any of these goodies in a Create Your Own hamper, or simply buy them individually from our online shop. And of course, don’t forget we’re always on the lookout for the next big thing, so we’re always adding to our range – watch this space!
