I don’t know about you, but at Taste of Bath HQ we are so excited for this year’s Great Bath Feast – it’s the foodie highlight of the year, with a menu stuffed full of delicious treats from cookery masterclasses to special tasting menus! There’s so much on offer that it can be tough to know where to start – so here’s our Top 5 not-to-be-missed hit list…

Local Food Tasting, Rossiters of Bath, 30th of September

We start – of course – with our very own fabulous event! We’ve teamed up with gorgeous destination department store Rossiters of Bath to offer a delicious tasting event – come along and try some of our favourite goodies from our hampers, and meet Taste of Bath founder Helen Rich as well as some of our lovely local producers in person. What’s more, it’s totally free! Just drop in between 10.30 and 3.30 for a nibble, and maybe even make a start on your Christmas shopping…

Malbec Wine-Tasting Dinner, The Clifton Sausage, 29th of September

One for the wine-lovers – this will be a fantastic event, with a delicious five course menu specially created to make Malbec the star of the show. It’s the perfect way to spend an evening as the weather gets colder, with all sorts of mouth-watering comfort food from duck rillettes to venison ragu, and of course, a carefully paired Malbec with each different dish. Tickets are £55, click here to book!

Chocolate Two Ways, Newton Farm Shop, 5th of October

This event is hosted by one of our very own brilliant producers, Seven Hills Chocolate, and if you’ve tasted their creations then you’ll know exactly why this event is not to be missed. Chocolatier Nick Shearn will be demonstrating techniques before leading a hands-on workshop where you’ll learn to fill, pipe and decorate your own chocolates – which, naturally, will be all yours to take home at the end! Places cost £25 and are strictly limited, so don’t delay, click here to book now.

Savouring Bath Food Tours, multiple dates throughout the Great Bath Feast

These fabulous tours combine food and history, with a stroll through the city’s culinary past to taste all sorts of goodies that have put Bath on the map. You’ll spot plenty of our favourites along the way, as well as discovering some fascinating new flavours! It’s a really original way to explore the city, and whether you’ve lived here for years or you’re visiting for the first time we guarantee you’ll learn something new. Tickets are £25 and there are several different dates on offer – click here to find out more.

The Tenner Treat, throughout the Great Bath Feast

Last but not least is one of our favourite features of the Great Bath Feast, the Tenner Treat – a huge range of different £10 offers from some of Bath’s most delicious cafes, bars and restaurants. Most offer a full meal for just a tenner and it’s a brilliant excuse to try some new places. We’ve got our eye on Chez Dominique, the Bath Pizza Co and The Abbey Hotel, but there are loads of tempting options to choose from – click here to see the full list.

For a small city, Bath has a huge amount to offer when it comes to eating and drinking, and the Great Bath Feast is a fantastic celebration of local talent. Want to share it with someone a little further afield? Why not send them a Taste of Bath with one of our delicious Bath Boxes? Click here to discover our full range of hampers starring all sorts of goodies.
